For Earth Day this year, OVERDUE introÂduces artist Julia AlexanÂder, a Swiss nationÂal who’s called LonÂdon her home for the past ten years. Julia moved to LonÂdon to purÂsue a sucÂcessÂful career in modÂelÂling, which she someÂhow manÂages to jugÂgle with being a mothÂer of twin boys and creÂatÂing these incredÂiÂble, hyper-realÂisÂtic drawÂings of aniÂmals. Each artÂwork is done in penÂcil and charÂcoal, and when you see the amount of detail that goes into it, you’ll underÂstand why it takes Julia 6–8 months to finÂish each piece.
